Delight of Being the Head Judge of a Competition

Dear Ladies and Gentlemen,

On this tuesday, we, Bahcesehir High School for Science and Technology, hosted a science competition for 8th grade students from Florya Bahcesehir College. It was a science activity for 80 primary school students in which they were challenged with mind games, chemistry experiments and problems. All students competed as teams. Place of the event was the panoramic study area of our library, my favourite place in our high school. And delightfully, I was the head judge of the competition. Photos from the event are below :D

Here, while making an announcement for the teams. I am in between my dear classmates Arda and Bugra.

Above, I am checking the answers of the teams.

At the end, I delivered the award certificates to the members of the winning team. To cut long story short, it was definitely a great day for me with the delight of being the head judge of the competition.

Nomad Science Museum Truck Started to its Journey

Dear Ladies and Gentlemen,

On April Fools' Day, BHSSciTech (Bahcesehir High School for Science and Technology, Istanbul/Turkey) Nomad Science Museum Truck is launched to spread science around Turkey. Its journey started from Bahcesehir College Primary School in Istanbul. I was in there as a volunteer demonstrator for popularizing science among visitors especially students and children by explaining some basic scientific phenomena.

I preferred the roof of Bahcesehir College Primary School to spot our science truck. It was windy so my hair is a little bit messy. Also from there, a section of our suburban town Bahcesehir's skyline and our apartment building can be seen easily (the tall dark orange building on the right side).

Above, inside our Nomad Science Museum Truck, I was showing the relationship between Pascal’s Triangle and probability calculations to a group of primary school students. They were highly interested, so listened me kindly with a great attention :D

At the end, being involved in this precious volunteer work was a great honor for me, as a person who aims to exalt science that is giving back to the society.
